Diamond in a day

Visiting LV over the holidays and I was thinking about driving to
Laughlin one day for DIAD at Harrah's. Is there any difference in doing
it before the end of year or should I wait until Jan 1st? How long does
it last, is it based on calender year? Thanks, RW

"What is the Diamond in a Day (DIAD) option? - It is a shortcut to
Diamond status. Earn 3,000 Base RC's in one calendar day and you
qualify for Diamond. The DIAD option can't be used for a renewal and
your Diamond status expires on 31 March of the following year."

So, I guess the answer to casinoredwolf's question (about doing
DIAD before or after the year end) is, "yes, it does make a
difference."

Based on the quote from vpFae, making DIAD on 12/31/07 will
have an expiration of 3/31/08 (March 31st of the following year).
And, making DIAD on 1/1/08 will have an expiration of 3/31/09
(March 31st of the following year).

I'd wait until January.
