Spent one night in Laughlin (Oct 8th) during our 2 week vacation
and we...er my wife did DIAD. As per this board we...er my wife was
to play the .05 50 play JOB. We/she were playing all 50 lines. At
467 points we/she were already down $500. Obviously not hitting much
on the first line or on the deal. I recall picking up a few 4 oak,
but not many. At this point I...er she moved to a $1 JOB and ran off
over 625 more points with a $50 gain. My wife did the remainder of
points on some nickle and dollar slots and held her own. Between VP
and slots approx. cost for her Diad was about $625. So around 1100
points came from VP with a $450 loss. Note that we were playing all
50 lines.
My neighbor on the next machine was playing 20 lines and seemed to
be holding his own there. Had several hundred points on his Harrah's
card the only time I took notice but always seemed to be stocked
with credits on his machine.
End result is a happy wife now that she is diamond. At least
Harrahs Laughlin offers something decent in the way of VP. If she
had to rely on Rio/Harrahs LV to go for Diamond, she would still be
waiting me thinks.
