Diamond "exchange" to Venetian

Sarah, excellent advice from Steve about Venetian. And since you
are Diamond, you may exchange your Diamond for a Gold card at V,
which is comparable to Diamond.

I am a Caesars "refuge" who exchanged my Diamond for Gold last Dec.
We have stayed at V 3 times so far this year, with another trip in
Oct. We have LOVED it so far!

Venetian Gold card = .3% same day cashback, generous offers for free
rooms and free play, easy comps, 24/7 Gold Lounge, and your Gold card
is a line pass at Grand Lux.

AND V has those great rooms and restaurants!

I did not know about this - I am Diamond, pretty disillusioned with Harrahs properties (duh) and tried a little Venetian play my last trip (August) and liked the facility, of course.

What does the "exchange" constitute -- do you just show a Diamond card and get Venetian Gold status, or do you actually have to give up your diamond status with HET somehow?

My diamond status is good until at least 3/09 without further play, so I hate to give up even those meager benefits when it's good for such a duration.

Simply show your Diamond card to receive the Venetian gold card. You
do not give up any of your Diamond benefits at HET. As I mentioned in
another message, I was told by the Venetian that the upgrade is a one
shot deal and you have to earn the required 2,000 points in the future
in order to maintain the gold card status.
