Something unusual is going on. It is true that DinaD types before July 1st,
2006 got the old rules...the rest of the current year, a full year and the 90
grace period until April 1st, 2008. Hey that is tomorrow.
But anyone doing DinaD starting July 1st, 2006 was only good until the
following April 1st. The current FAQs on the Total Rewards webpage reflect this
concept.
But, they also backed-down from the 4000 Tier points for Diamond in a Day
thing starting this year. Right now 3000 is the deal...check the FAQs under
"Daily Criteria".
I think you got lucky. Of course the offers are driven by averages and not
Tier status.
