diad renewal, etc

I just returned from a 4 day trip to lv (stayed at Paris). Before
beginning play I checked with the total rewards supervisor re the
possibility of renewing diad...I earned mine in June, 2007 and had been
advised that it would expire on March, 2008. The TR supervisor
indicated that it could be renewed the year after it expired by once
again doing 3000 points in one day. Then the interesting part was that
she checked my account and said I would not lose my diamond status
until March, 2009...at that point she issued me a new card with the
2009 expiration. This is different from what I had been led to belive
about diad expiration but was a pleasant surprise.

Is it possible that, after your made DIAD, you earned enough
tier credits during the rest of the year to make the full Diamond
tier?

If you did, that would explain the March 2009 expiration.

I only had around 3500 total tier credits at the end of the year...not even close to full diamond.
