anyone know how many points it takes? The database says midnight to

It takes 3000 points in a day for DIAD and it's only good for the rest
of the year (unless you get to 10,000 in which case it carries over
for the following year as well)
If you are already diamond, there's no reason for him to be diamond so
he can meet you in the diamond lounge. You're allowed to bring in a
guest.
