deuces wild

I have been playing deuces wild on win poker and am a little
confused. Sometimes when I get two cards in royal it says to keep
them and sometimes it says to draw all 5 cards. Is this a flaw or
something I am missing?

Only Q & J High 2-Card Royals are playable in Full Pay Deuces.

Can't speak specifically for win poker, but I would assume this is
waht is going on. Other 2-Card Royals would be played as a Razgu
(draw 5)

The QJ,QT and JT all lead to more possible straight flushes (and
straights) than A high or K high "2 for a royal".

In addition, you will sometimes see K high as the best hold when no
interference cards are present. Interference cards are cards that,
when discarded, reduce the possibilities available on the draw.

The best example of an interference card (often called penalty card)
would be a card in the same suit as the "2 for a royal". Discarding
this "flush penalty" card reduces the number of possible flushes on
the draw.

For a reasonably good explanation of this online go to the following
bookmarks at the Wizard of Odds site. To see the minimum 1,2, and 3 suited
discards you need with 2 card king high royal draws with no straight and
flush penalties go to:
http://wizardofodds.com/games/deuceswild/deuceswildapx1.html

To see the minimum 1,2, and 3 suited discards needed in order to play a 2
card king high royal even with a nine or an ace straight penalty, go to:
http://wizardofodds.com/games/deuceswild/deuceswildapx3.html

Now, after absorbing and learning all of this information, be aware that if
you play about 1.5 million hands of deuces a year, as I do, the additional
profits that you garner from this will buy you one cup of coffee. As an
example, if are dealt the following hand: Kc Tc 9d 3s 4h, winpoker will tell
you to dump the entire hand. However, if you are inordinately stubborn or
just hate to toss two cards to the royal and you hold the KTc anyway, it
will cost you a whopping .0037 cents for your mistake. Good luck
