I was up at Soaring Eagle (SE) this summer and tried to find some
decent VP to play. What with them pulling all the Pick'Em out, I
didn't find much. I think someone said in a post that they still had
16/10/4/4 DW in the old building. I never found them when I was
there, but maybe I didn't look in the right place.
I'm going up over the weekend and, if they are still there, I
would like to play them. Can someone verify that they are there?
Dolores and I were at Greektown Sunday. A bit of advice: IF YOU
ARE GOING ON A LIONS GAME DAY, LEAVE EARLY!
We hit Detroit at around noon and not only was the GT garage
closed, but there wasn't a parking spot left for two or three blocks
around the place. We luckily found one, but it was a struggle.
We played quarter Pick'Em most of the day. Dolores hit two quads
and I hit three. I went into a long losing streak and gave most of
it back, while Dolores stayed even.
We each decided to take a $100 shot at the dollar bar (Bonus Poker
at 99.6%)) and Dolores lost her hundred and I hit a quad for $175. I
cashed in my $40 promo and my $50 food coupon at the Alley Grill.
The shrimp pasta and the bottle of Pinot Grigio were great.
We played P'E after dinner until Midnight (Hey, I'm retired now
and don't have to get up in the morning)and left bleary-eyed but
both of us ahead for the day. YEA TEAM!
PS: We ran into Sargent Preston again. I hope he won something.
