Deuces "Hit for the Cycle"

In this context, I think "hitting for the cycle" would mean FIVE sets of
quad Deuces, holding zero, one, two, three, and four.

I have had seven sets in one single line session, at the Orleans, back when
I was playing quarters, but never hit for this cycle. It's a good bet that
SOMEONE here has done this, especially if you count multiline NSUDs! It is
possible that I've hit the cycle at multiline, but I don't keep track of that
sort of thing. I know I hit 13 total sets (five on a dealt 2222) at MGM in the
year 2000 (playing dollar 5-play), so that would have been the most likely time
for me. Still, not very likely, as the "holding zero" would be a pretty rare
event!

At any rate, this kind of thing, while interesting, is not important. Just
something to talk about. Entertainment value only. On the other hand, that's
why I'm here in the first place!

In baseball when a player has at least four hits in a single game
consisting of a single, a double, a triple and a home run he is said
to have "hit for the cycle." In LV last week I thought about this
somewhat rare baseball occurrence while having a somewhat rare
successful session of FPDW.

Early in my session I held three deuces and drew one to compete a set
of them (Single). Not long after I was dealt two deuces and drew the
other two for another set (Double). Later I hit a third set of deuces
by holding a single deuce and drawing three (Triple). Then I thought
gee, if I am dealt four deuces or draw four on a redeal I will have
hit for the cycle. I played another couple of hours but did not get
four deuces again, dealt or otherwise.

I have had three sets of deuces in a session several times previously
but don't recall hitting four and certainly not in a cycle of drawing
one, two and three cards in addition to four at once. I'm sure others
have had four or more in a session and wonder if anyone can lay claim
to "hitting deuces for the cycle".

Michael Shackleford calculates that the probability that you'll toss
all 5 cards in your hand and draw the four ducks is about 1 in 200,000
dealt hands (around 3x more likely than a dealt royal).

I'd expect the probability of "hitting for the cycle" over the course
of a session or even a week's trip is extraordinarily small.
