Hello Again....I appreciate all the responses to my posting so far...I did want to give a bit of an update to the story...Right now Im sitting in my room at the Fitz...where my room air conditioning is on the fritz and have just been notified that the casino's water is going to be turned off since its on the spritz....As to the update....Im here in Las Vegas...disguised as a normal person...so my everyday classroom teacher appearance shouldnt have triggered any responses from the Fitz security/pep squad.....Im am staying here at the Fitz on a VIP comp...Fitz Marketing have been plastering my mailbox all year with comp offers to come and spend money with them .....My earlier posting
was very accurate...I arrived at Fitz a bit early for check-in and decided to make a quick 5 minute walkthru to the area where I normally play and I did check just one machine for its paychart...On my way back to the front desk is when I was stopped...Dealing with the security person was very similar to dealing with some of my students when catching them telling some big lie....They lower their voice...look away and then quitely tell you what really happened....If you have kids you may be able to relate....Same thing here where security's story changed from me touching buttons on numerous machines...to only one machine..to not touching any buttons at all...Getting an apology from this pair was like a dentist coming after you and your molars with a pair of rusty pliers...but I did get a pained lukewarm one which was better than squadoosh....And to the scary statement from the Fitz security chief who considers touching buttons on machines as a serious security breach because "these people think they are going to get something for nothing" I say HUH?....And this guy takes pride that he has busted HUNDREDS so far this year for doing so!.....and for my current 3 day Fitz stay....Im cutting it short 2 days....as a smart cookie once said...if you cant take the hint then you must suffer the consequences...Ive seen enough and will be gone...like the wild goose...from here first thing in the morning...As promised my regular Surprise Trip Report will be posted upon my return from LV in a few weeks featuring Anna Nicole and the Ft Lauderdale Hard Rock Casino...Getting backroomed/ detained by armed guards for using Bob Dancer and Tomski VP strategy cards...dogs and cats in heat and winning the 20 million $$ Megabucks Jackpot...for a day
Detained/Questioned At LV Fitz UPDATE

Your story is dubious at best. We all know that you can spot a
teacher from a mile away by their inevitable pinko/commie appearance.
And the GCB has long maintained that random stops of patrons are
legal, as is profiling. Unless you adopt a more credible guise (think
"Dubya" t-shirts and the like) expect more of the same.
Seriously though, there have been stories over the years of players
who have been questioned after scrutinizing paytables. I don't recall
any being as vigorous as yours, nor after simply scanning a single
machine.
I've drawn the watchful eye of a security attendant on occasion in the
past when pulling up multiple paytables on a few multigame machines
and jotting a couple of them down on paper. There are trade secrets
to be protected, you know. However, beyond a simple "can I help you",
there's been no questioning.
The wariness no doubt stems from past tales of scammers who would use
light wands to drain additional tokens from machines (requiring
something more than a quick look-see) and other tales of that ilk.
Simply put, anytime a casino is taken by a scammer, they become triply
paranoid.
Frankly, I'd welcome greater scrutiny of people who simply roam the
casino looking for a machine with credits that they can quickly cash
out while you're distracted by something else (conversation or a
confederate). But that's unlikely ... there's nothing of the casino
that's at risk.
