Describing VP games

We get a lot of posts on this forum that states that such and such
casino has "no good plays", or "nothing worth playing", or "all junk".
Or some report that they are "ok" or "not bad". Well you get the
idea.

I would propose that numbers be put on those statement in terms of
ER.

Ones persons junk may be another persons treasure.

On this theme, perhaps the poster, who has already taken the time to post something,
could at least list the ER of the"best" game that he/she has seen there, whatever that
might be.

Thanks!

I prefer the old system....assuming "nothing good, all crap, waste-of-time-VP, VP wasteland, worse than Monde-carlo," etc , to mean all under 98%.
Its too much work while effectively scouting to compute EV for stuff like 7/5 jacks with 400 coin SF, or 9/5 DDB with 4500 Royal, or 7/5 bonus poker where normal quads pay 130...its all in the caca class, not worth the extra effort to figure out.
Hey , this groups fundamental number one purpose ( despite what the self serving semi-pros say ) is to expose great plays not crap !
...just my 2 cents.

Ok, why don't we make it vpFREE policy. Junk = <98%, then there
would be no doubt

Deuces, I agree with your thinking on the first post.

Depending on geography, 7/5 BP or 8/5 JOB may be the best games
available in the whole CITY. If someone is at one of these
locations and wants to play VP instead of slots or table games we
may as well tell them where the best machines are and what they pay.

If someone is willing to go there and inventory the casino, they may
as well tell us what they found

Yes, I do try to monitor a few casinos.

Very well said. What a lot of people on this site seem to gloss over
is that there are recreational players that would love to play a 100%
+ game each and every time they went to a casino. However, a trip to
Vegas would cost hundreds of dollars and there is still no guarantee
that they are going to make money.

So, playing a 96 or a 97 percent game as well as it can be played not
only challenges ones mind, provides entertainment, and most likely
beats the ER of any slot game they are going to find.

I would ask the administrator whether this site should only cater to
those semi-professional or more serious players or whether
information for the less fortunate should also be included with
accurate descriptions instead of some of the comments that are posted.

Thanks for at least one person agreeing with me. The second post
was more or less written to show that picking a number to determine
good from bad is a judgement situation, and that judgement should be
made by the player and not the reporter.

Put it in the FAQ and Glossary.
