If you wanted to move up in denomination is it better to move to multiplay
or move up in the same game to minimize the bankroll swings. In other words
if you are playing 10/7 DB at $0.25 level is it better to go to 3 or 5
multiplay at 9/7 DB or 10/7 DB single line at the $1 level.
Why would you go from a $1.25 bet at just slightly over 100% to a $3.75/$6.25
bet at almost a percentage below 100%? This site has an interesting page on
multiplay variance. http://www.jazbo.com/ As I understand it (and this is
not a given;) variance goes up with multiplays because you're working from one
base hand. When variance goes up, bankroll requirements, given that there
isn't an increase in ER, go up as well. OTOH, the bankroll requirements
multiply by 4 in SP .25 play versus SP $ play. I need to go back and read that page
again:-)
