Were they by any chance replaced with the FPDW machines?

Well, there is goes.....my skill at All American. First they pulled the
game at the Las Vegas Hilton, now the only AA in Laughlin. I have no
idea where I can play this game anymore. I wonder if it is like riding
a bike, once you learn it, you never forget it. ? I may have to add it
to my list of useless skills- AA, slide rule and Morse code.

Yep, the four FPDW which were moved about ten days ago from near
subway are now where the former six AA's were. Has anyone checked

Hamstockman,
It's wierd $1 AA and $1 PE (and 25 cent) exists (for now) on the East
Coast and not as much on the left coast. Gaming Commission is doing one
heck of
job in promoting competition in Nevada. I am being somewhat cynical.
I know there are many more advantage opportunities in Nevada than on
the East Coast. I don't know if that's true if you base it on percent
of machines/casinos.
It just's there's not much hope for East Coast gamblers in the long run
compared to Nevada. Your are the last hope for advantage gambling in
the long run. Dixie may be also but I'm doubtful in the long run.
It's our Orginial Colonies attitude. Purtian/Catholic on gambling and
almost everything else in what we do. It's a real underlying thing.
That' my impression. East Coast (blue states - I don't mean Dixie).
I may be wrong not having lived in Laughlin/Vegas/Reno; but I get the
impression Nevadans have an almost laissez fair culture. Anything goes:
1) Nevada has a lot more corruption in politics or:
2) Politicians are smarter on the East Coast:-)
3) People are friendlier in Nevada
4) Having a good time is accepted out West
5) Reward yourself now - not as much of that delayed gratification.
Now, I know most of us do the 40 hours and have "traditional"
lifestyles even though we are gamblers and no matter where we live. I'm
talking about that underlying attitude in Nevada compare to East.

You are in a better position to judge the difference between the east
coast and Nevada gambling than I am. I have no desire to travel to
the East Coast anymore, and certainly not just to gamble. However, it
just seems the better and advantage plays are being dropped at a
rapid rate. Why is that? I really don't know, and I am certainly in
no position to do anything about it. Last weekend I was in Reno and
saw another great play hit the dust right before my eyes. I posted a
report on the vpFREE Reno site:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vpFREE_Reno/message/1252
I am not aware of any AA in Reno, other that a lone reported game
downtown. There were reports of $1 AA at the Atlantis, but I think
that play is gone. In fact that game had reports of being there, and
then being gone, and then being back. It turns out that an out of
town player with some influence would call Atlantis and tell them he
was coming to town and wanted the AA game turned on. They would leave
it on for about a week, and then turn it off. This explained the
constant reports of MIA, and then reports of it being back.
I am not happy about the AA games being gone, but there are still
many plays that I enjoy out there. I am not trying to make a killing,
a living, or a profit. I do it all just for fun!

If you really need an AA fix then:
(Drum Roll for this secret play)
The Pauite Fireworks/Smoke shop on I-15 at the Valley of Fire exit - 30
miles North of Vegas may be the place. 25 cent machines were still
there in 2005. Been playing them for a few years while others went and
lit off their fireworks.
However, this play is for the truly addicted. You have to have one big
AA monkey on your back to spend much time in that armpit of the desert.
