Hardly. That article won't sway someone from either a "random" or
"cycled" dogma.

What I find interesting is that life deals us very few truly random
situations. From the weather to traffic patterns, peripheral events
generate "hot and cold" influences. We can sense when we seem to be
entering a "warm" winter, and are often right in our call.

Speaking for myself, when a particular machine runs into a repeated
series of sour sessions I can become very susceptible to a sense of
deliberate chill. You almost have to set aside your entire life's
experience to accept a scenario of true randomness.
