Which reminds me... hisses to the Palms for sending an email saying for certain
dates "Name your own rate! No reasonable offer refused!" If they're willing to
sell me a room at a low rate, TELL ME WHAT THE RATE IS. The only point of their
silly "Name your own rate" game is the hope that I'll name a rate higher than
they're willing to offer, & they'll get free money.
I was really tempted to call them up & ask for a room for $1/night. When they
say that's not reasonable, I'd offer $2, & just continue till I hit the magic
number. They deserve it for trying to jerk me around.
I'm not quite shameless enough to actually use the $1 method, but I've got a
friend who might be.
