I was dealt a royal. I know the average for a drawn royal is about once every 40,000 plays,
but how often do dealt royals come up? This was my first ever.

Are you sure you didn't misread it. That's the odds of being dealt a Royal in a particular suit, but if any old suit will do, well there are 4 of them, so you would divide the 2,598,960 by 4 which equals 649,740.

That number only applies if you specify in advance which suit
the royal will be. 259860 is the number of distinct hands that
can be dealt from 52 cards when order doesn't matter. Four
of these hands are royal flushes.
