DDB

The article was written nine years ago. I don't believe that the 10/6
version of DDB existed at that time.

I assume that Bob was referring to the most common DDB pay schedules
(9/6 - EV 98.981%) or even the worse pay (9/5 - EV 97.873%) which are
available in most casinos. The much rarer 10/6/50 pay schedule (EV
100.067%)is positive, though the variance is quite high. Sometimes
the 10/6 pay table pays 40 coins instead of 50 coins on the SF. The
EV then drops to 99.958%. I'm reasonably sure that Bob meant that the
casinos welcomed players who embraced the first two pay tables, not
the positive or nearly positive ones.

Bob Dancer reccently stated that DDB is a game that the casinos
WANT you to play, and that they are often not the best game in
the casino. Even though some versions pay 100%+
is is because of the variance?
