DDB Progressives at Foxwood

Thanks...I wondered if they were all gone. BTW, my host at the Sun still
calls me periodically to try to talk me into coming back - lots of promises
about getting rewarded for my play - they must be really hurting.

I did report the loss of those 12 progressive machines to VPFree2 a while
back and they did disappear from the database. As of now, the comment still
hasn't made it. There are 2 other sets of progressives at Foxwoods that I
am aware of. One set of 5 or 6 machines is in Grand Pequot near Hampton
club entrance labeled Game King

The other set is, I believe, 5 machines in the Great Cedar casino, between
cashier and employee exit ( labeled Deuces Wild). The machines that back
against the progressive machines are the $1 10 coin for a RF machines.

All the progressives are independent sets, consisting of just the machines
in that particular location.

I don't know if anyone is still reading/posting to this group, but I
stopped in at Foxwoods yesterday after a break of a month of two, and the

$ DDB

Progressives are gone in the Pequot casino. I'm guessing they pulled

them

because the machines were really getting old and had periodic problems -
wound up playing some 9/5 DDB that was not a progressive and was mad at

myself

for doing that. Should have just gone home:( I noticed that all the VP
machines near the tables have all been replaced but couldn't find a
progressive....any one know whether they have a bank of them somewhere

else at

Foxwoods? Heading to Vegas the end of the month, so I'm not going to be
making any visits to CT casinos.

My offers have been better since I stopped playing there than they were for my last 6 months as a Sagamore. I even got an email from my host saying that they haven't seen me in a while, here's a $75 comp. My only stops have been when I'm on my way to or from Foxwoods, and I have free play, free points, or a food comp. I don't know how long they'll keep those offers up, but they're a nice cherry on the cake if I'm out there anyway.

But I think I'll pass on the free Bob Dylan concert next week - he had a bad voice in the '60's and its gotten much worse with age.

Thanks...I wondered if they were all gone. BTW, my host at the Sun still

Ok, I understand the knock on Mohegan, but Bob Dylan? I was considering flying in for the concert. My wife still get offers. I agree his voice hasn't mellowed with age but since my hearing has started to go I really enjoyed his last concert

After months of no offers, I received a $300 fsp offer for July and Aug that my wife was able to pick up. I received an offer for this month for $10. Luckily, I'm rarely in Boston these days and have found a new 'home' in Florida.

H'mmmm "hasn't mellowed with age". That is a truly diplomatic way of putting it. One of the great songwriters, but that ain't exactly Frank Sinatra singing the words. Heck, that ain't even Rod Stewart. In truth, some serious rock fans have been walking out of his concerts for the past few years, and the fact that they are sending me free tickets, with the amount of play I've given them for a year tells me that they can't even give away the tickets. All I've been doing is accepting their freebies and giving them NO play over the FSP amounts.

But to each his own, and sadly, I'll just listen to his recorded songs. Ooops, I almost said records ; )

We got the offer for Bob Dylan and $30 FP.
I was thinking about going to see him before he's "knockin on heavens door." I youtubed "bob dylan 2012" and caught a video of him at
"hop farm festival" and he souded like a frog. He may have burnt out of his voice singing too much because some of his 2011 youtube videos show him souding pretty good. I'm interested because I heard an hour show about Woody Guthrie including how Bob Dylan would visit him a lot when he was in the hospital.

I'm trying to convince my wife and figure we will spend the night at
a hotel in Mystic. We used to stay at a motel in Groton on the river across from New London. However, we have been spoiled by the comps of our gambling over the years. I remember sleeping in the minivan at Foxwoods maybe 20 years ago. We would park at the Two Tree's Inn.
Saw a a big red fox early in the morning. You get up real early when your sleeping in your car.

Just back from Vegas/Laughlin trip of 8 days. Stayed in a suite at Main Street Station and Aquarius in Laughlin. Then back to Vegas for three days at the Las Vegas Hotel (Hilton) in a Lanai ((oversized room with patio on pool level (nice)). All the joints have FPVP. We did well the whole trip w/royal on the $1 10/7 DB at Aquarius for $4,700.

Jet Blue for about $330/RT/PP. Got ripped off at payless for a car that came to $460 for 8 days. Drove about 300 miles. We will stick with Alamo/Budget/Enterprise in future.

Free play offers of $800; plus $300 earned free play. Saw some shows.
It was a good trip.

Presuming that you didn't realize the final price of $460 how did they "hide it" or add on to it ?

The didn't hide anything. The told me $30 Roadside protection was mandatory. But the liabilit is $20/day. I take the liability because AMEX covers collision/theft for $15/trip and gives you a "special" 800 number to call if in an accident and they take it from there.
(supposedly). We don't have collision or theft on our cars but have plenty of liablity insurance.

First and last time at payless.
Back to budget thru costco with $13/day liability and no roadside b.s.
