Arrived at MS 5:00 Wed. evening played at dollar room till New Years
party at 8:30. Party was crowded, 1600 quests, but the food was
excellent, chopped endive salad, filet and lobster, fancy decorated
dessert plates. Entertainment was magic and carnival type performers
+ dj music and dancing and was enjoyable. Only quibles were that it
was somewhat disorganized, appetizer line was chaotic and our party
was assigned to differing tables, caused (said our host) by last
minute shuffling. Comp package included party, room (New Years
night), gift case filled with chocolates and James Taylor and Bette
Midler CDs and Bette Midler tickets Thursday night. I gave my ticket
to a friend who went with my wife and they and the rest of our party
all said the show was wonderful.

We stayed Thursday night also and returned today after a stop at
Foxwoods. As for the gambling, the best I had was one four of a kind
at jacks; no need to elaborate on the results. My friend Mike did
start the New Year with a royal, his 3rd in 3 weeks and hit a strait
flush and 2 4As (900) at db at Foxwoods on the way home. Does anyone
remember the Old Nike commercial, "Wish I could be like Mike"?

The trip was fun and after a + week at Vegas the prior week I was
owned a loss. Wishing everyone a happy and royal New Year.
