Dancer's book has arrived!

Artcontrol: I would be willing to offer to buy it at 50 cents on the dollar from you after you've read it. I'm not sure I can trust everything Mr. Dancer would put in one of his books, but with a name like Million Dollar Video Poker, there has to be some interesting stories inside. I also agree with Mr. Elliott to the point that a book won't really assist anyone in winning compared to all the very good programs available. I guess that's why this book is worth half-price to me.

Why would you mistrust Bob Dancer.? I only met him once and he seemed

imo i disagree with points made in the post quoted below. i would
trust anything dancer publishes (books, software, cards, etc.) about
video poker in comparison with other video poker publications. i
have been reading his columns for at least two years and find them to
generally be accurate, entertaining, diverse, informative and/or
current. the times dancer learns of inaccuracies or problems in his
writings, he writes about it in a later column. i wonder why the
below poster states she is not sure she can trust what dancer would
put in one of his books. if it's only because he "sensationalizes"
his writings, then that's a matter of opinion of what each individual
reader likes. she has the right to no longer read his publications.
however, if she uses the word "trust" to critique the overall
accuracy of his writings, i would appreciate a reply from the below
poster providing the group with examples of dancer's inaccuracies.

i also note she applies a blanket opinion to dancer's book without
having read his book. i look forward to Steve in LV's thoughts on
dancer's book based on actually reading the book.

lastly, imo it's sad and surprising that some people discount the
value of books as a way of learning. a book, beat the dealer, taught
the gambling public how to beat blackjack. it included
some "sensational" recounts of the author's blackjack sessions.
likewise, dancer's reports taught me how to beat fp dw, job and db.

I finished reading the book (260 pages!) this afternoon, and am planning to
write a "book review" of it in the next few days. I'll post it here if
that's okay with Tom.
