The current management's position is that they are
embarrassed by that particular incident --- which they agree was handled
very poorly. All they can do now is to move on. They cannot go back and
un-do it, even though they would like to. They are hoping that by
offering good games and promotions, eventually people will decide to
come back.

As much as I am still annoyed at Greektown's reluctance to reinstate all
things they took away, such as Johnny Z's comps, most of my VP play is done there
because they've got the best quarter games in the area. Motor City gutted the
NSUD progressives, and the 9/7 DB progressive at MGM only goes positive when
the meter is well into the W2G level (the State taxes W2G jackpots and you
cannot be "fade" them with losses).

I am one of the Greektown 9 and one of two who has not been reinstated.
The events took place in November 2002 so it's about 3.5 years ago. I'm not
going to rehash the event, but I will add my perspective to the discussion.

Thanks for checking in on this thread, John. I was waiting to see if you'd
add to the discussion and give us an update on your current status with them.
It's quite interesting that they're trying to show remorse over the barring
incident, yet haven't welcomed you back.

By the way, I am the guy who took the photo of the infamous Greektown
billboard on I-94 by Metro Airport. I may still have that photo buried in my
extensive photo archives. If anyone is interested, I could poke around and see if
it's still there. Just for curiosity's sake, not to instigate anything.
