Now that Bob Dancer has "advised" both Cannery locations to slow the
fullpay machines down I'm wondering why we don't go to the casinos he
plays at and "advise" them how much money he is taking from them?
Thanks for ruining another play Bob!
Dancer strikes again!
I'm curious why Bob hasn't commented on this. The 9-5 WHA got
downgraded, too, but you know, I give Cannery the props for taking the
action like they did for a long time. Not the greatest play of all
time, but a good one.
Bob works differently from us. He doesn't need the consulting biz, but
his ego does. He's also managed to sell other casinos that his
presence is indispensable, whether it be as a player or as a
consultant. I find this highly amusing, but we all have to work the
deal our own way, and there are quite a few selfish pigs in this
business. He just works the deal from a different angle.
In this deal, if you want to be profitable, you have to learn to take
what the casino gives you. They control all facets of the offer. If
you don't like what's on offer, just move on. There are plenty of
places to play.
In the last couple of weeks, there's been a lot of talk about
downgrades (and not surprisingly, one or two faux or maybe mistaken
MIA posts). Local Vegas is still very playable, but it's kind of
foolish for me to tell you, particularly in this economy at this point
in time, what I play and how I get to profitability. Pretty much
everyone here is not a profitable customer for the casino. I won't
even discuss the lurkers.
On a local VPFree forum, there was a discussion of a promo where one
poster complained that the machine of preference, a .50c triple play
was too big for him. He was looking to play something cheaper. Now,
this play is not the easiest to get to, it's in my private reserve
because I expect the promo will return at some point, but for a pro,
it's a safe >$100/hr play. Now let's say I'm the casino, what am I
going to do when I see this post? Or I'm a Vegas pro who can bankroll
some trusted fleas? While sunshine is still the best disinfectant, you
still need the right people doing the cleaning.
