oops...i was going to mention that i have received reliable word that the suncoast full pay bank has also been downgraded...reliable enough for me that i won't be making my scheduled trip there tomorrow...tough day!!!
Too bad. I lost hundreds on that bank of "full-pay" machines.

I'm curious as to why South Point didn't first cut the points earned on those machines in half, or then in forths, and exclude them from promotions, then eliminate bounceback, and THEN pull them out. lol
And what's going to happen when Bob Dancer's classes return to South Point?

Within the last week, I had an opportunity to talk to the SPt slot supervisor re
a letter I had written to Michael Gaughan. It was directly mainly at the
present tier level for the A mailer at 20K handle.
In the course of our almost 30 minute discussion the subject of the casino
sponsoring VP classes seemed to me counterproductive to their scrutiny of offered
games, multiple days, cashback , etc.
His explanation which has some merit equates this VP introduction much the same
as we see signs for a "quickie" lectures on craps, blackjack, or whatever. It is
realized that the VP "graduates" will not all attain the disciplined status of
a consistent advantage player.
IMHO, it creates, then, a false confidence that they can continually beat
certain games and as others have pointed out, technical errors are made and
rational judgement gives way to riskier plays.
I still feel that the heyday of numerous positive plays ended 3-4 years ago
?when the Coast casinos removed hundreds of FPDW machines. The subsequent reports
of a lost bank or downgrade here and there is part of the inevitable end.
Even if the inventory stays a constant, the growing number of "newbies"
entering the "workforce" will lessen one's individual opportunities.
Change is hard to accept.

Very well articulated. I agree and well stated Anteroz. For kicks I'll paraphrase your last remarks with my own spin: Even if the 'endangered playable paytables' remain, the growing number of 'fleas' entering the 'workforce(even I couldnt put that any better)' will lessen one's individual 'PROFIT'.
