Jack, Thanks for sharing. Your conclusion is already done by locals
in Nevada. The Motherboard has a "Vegas Locals" yahoogroups with
limited access. As Dan Brown quotes in "Angels and Demons" --- "Dawn

Spoke to my host...here is what I got back...
there is one level of Sagamore, the difference is in room rates,
based on theo NOT points. (these are the x,y,z)
Points get you the card, but theo is in fact king.
To qualify for sachem you need average theo $1500 per trip.
It is a complicated formula which takes into account, theo + trips
+ Time played.
I average 5.3 hrs $783 theo and $18K in coin in per trip with 48
trips in 6 months. (again this is average, i have had trips with 20
mins of play that totally killed me)
To be sachem, i should have gone 24 trips, spent 5hrs per trip and
had $40k coin in averages. would have still spent as much $$. but
theo would have doubled to over 1500.
So i guess I will go less but bring more money ??

got my sacham card recently also, 6 month expiry.
Last go around (last 4 months or so), I got 3 sachems and I
sagamore in the mail.
Sagamore came first and last sachem had a wolf on it -- even
though play has dropped.
This new one doesn't have the chief on it. I do expect to get
more cards in the mail...
parking passes, and a sagamore card for good luck. LOL
I had asked MANY people (hosts, booth folks, aquai, back-office
people) and no one
would actually confirm that the "wolf" meant anything-- instead it
was all about they saw
when they looked at my account--- YMMV.
1) my info did not list access to 33rd floor lounge. My last
cards were coded for it,
however. I guess I have been downgraded...
2) rest reservations: for the restaurants that MS owns, you can
throw your sachem weight
around. Call your host or have someone at the rest. call them
3) parking: tell them you want VIP parking at the valet. They
write "VIP" on the ticket.
After that I don't know what happens...
4) I noticed a 20% discount for certain MS stores & gas station.
Nice, but doesn't cover gas
or much else
5) It used to be that sachems could call up and reserve a machine
or table. I tried that a
few times and it did not work. No one (on the phone) new what I
was talking about. I
even brought the literature in once with a description of this
perk and showed some
hosts-- and, well, no one had heard of the program...
Aside: Theo... the only thing that really matters is the theo
the casino has for you-- not
the theo you think you should have. This is not a subtle
difference. I've played all day on
machines to find out they were coded in correctly-- and that I got
nearly a 0 theo %-- and
I've played FP machines with >>5%+ theo. As earlier post
suggested-- play one machine
for a while-- but then ask your host-- and share what you learn.
At some casinos (most?
all ?) there can be only 1 theo value per machine. That means
machines with 1 good VP
and lots of bad video slots games tend to have higher theo.
Similar thing goes for
machines with a mixture of denoms [ low denoms -> high theo and
high denoms -> low
theo]

no mention of point
