Thank you for an excellent post on the subject.

I too would prefer a system that is a monthly, quarterly or even yearly
average.

Believe Stations is quarterly & Harrahs is yearly.

Also would like the option of taking what the locals get as opposed to taking
what the out-of-towners get. I don't need multiple, overlapping room offers &
don't want to play address games to get the local offers.

Also would like the offers to be in the form of email notification so that we
can forgo having to remember to bring coupons. Redemption would be at the
slot club upon presentation of ID. Advantage for the casinos would be a lot
less money spent on mailings & a more positive tracking system which would
obviate the knee-jerk reactions which occur when a few people are caught
scamming the coupons.

As a caution to other readers, I've got a couple of examples of what not
paying attention to daily average does to your offers:

PALMS
As for your unhappiness with the Palms system, you've got company. Since
their opening, I've played there twice, probably $50K/day each time. Since I
fell victim to their early daily card swipe promotion, I'm sure the average
is about $10K or less. The offers are weak or non-existent & I have to cross
off a casino with good VP due to not enough time to repair the damage done.

VENETIAN
My wife & I both have accounts there & she recently qualified on their cruise
promotion. I play at least as much as she does or oftentimes a lot more.
Recently, she's been getting offers for good events that I didn't get. I
called up to find out why. It turns out that Venetian goes on a 4-trip
average & I hurt my average with 2 trips during the wintertime that had
meager play but my other trips were fine. The Venetian is a place that we
like to stay at so I'm going to have to spend the time to repair the damage.
