They are the same. They are both based on a 52 card deck. Video lottery
terminals while random are really slot machines. Your winning is determined
after the initial draw (the same as a slot machine) and the redraw has no affect
on what you win or lose.

Video lottery terminals may be a random draw or not; it depends upon the jurisdiction. (Most VLTs are a random draw though.)
If not a random draw; there will be indications on the machine that will become apparent in a few hands, such as a sign on the machine that says cards seen are for display purposes only (or something like this), you can drill down to the help menu and read what it says, the appearance of the genie which will change cards on the redraw or the match card feature.

and for all.Kelso says they may or may not be random.Joel says they are
identical. I think the original query was: Are Vlt and class three machines
the same as the random play video poker machines in Vegas. A simple yes or
no answer should suffice. This question has been bouncing around for a
couple years now Bill Coleman where are you?? Harry Porter we need your

Class II (pre-determined results) and Class III (same as LV) are
designations used in Indian Casino compacts. CT casinos use the same product
as LV except usually worse pay tables.

I forgot to add, that if the game is shown in the vpfree2 database, it
should be same type of machine as LV.

Thanks Nudge; for some reason, In spite of Bill Coleman's and Linda Boyd's
patient explanations, I never could get my arms around those Class ll,
class III,and Vlt differences. Now by all rights , with the help of your
urls, I should live happily ever after. Except; with my limited computer
skills It would have taken me months, if ever, to find those url's' without
outside help.
Thanks Nudge. I appreciate your help.

Hi. I hope someone clears up this damn video lottery /class three mess once
and for all.
What is it about this "mess" that seems unclear to you? Whatever happened
to the fun and discovery satisfaction that comes from exploring a website to
see what's on it? Have you tried the FAQ link that is right on the vpFREE
home page? Assuming that you haven't, you may want to click here:
http://members.cox.net/vpfree/FAQ.htm
and scroll down to 4a and 4c. If you miss the the two links that are
already on the page titled Indian Casino Discussion and More VLT details, I
am copying the links here:
http://members.cox.net/vpfree/FAQ_Indian.htm
http://members.cox.net/vpfree/FAQ_VLT.htm
The second link has little blubs from both Linda Boyd and Bill Coleman (
whos help you requested ) that have been listed here for years. If this is
not the information that you seek, then you may want to ask in a subsequent
post for others to comment on.
