Does anyone have information about what VP is available on the Coral
Princess (or the sister ship, Island Princess)? I know there won't
be anything really good, but I would like to know what the best
available games are. Has anyone been on either of these ships?
Thanks.
Cruise ship VP-- Coral Princess or Island Princess?
We just got back from a 15 day cruise to Hawaii (at the cost of 4.5
million Station points) aboard the Regal Princess. While most of the
VP was along the lines of 6/5 double bonus, there were two games
that were over 99%. Both of these games were found on Bally
Gamemakers. One was 9/6/5 DB, in which SF's paid 80 and Aces paid
200. The other one was two pair joker, in which flushes paid 7 and
straights paid 5. (Check BDPW for the default paytables then
make these changes. Note that the royal in the joker game pays
5,000). The strategy for this game is very weird, with all mid cards
(4-J) being held, with or without the joker. So far as I can see,
the only hand where all five cards would be discarded is AKQ32 with
the AKQ all of different suits and the A32 all of different suits.
You may find similar gems on the other Princess ships. You will have
to check each machine, as there were four Gamemakers next to each
other and each of these games was found on only one of the four.
The blackjack rules were decent, with dealer standing on all 17's,
double after split and double on any two cards, but no resplitting
aces and no surrender. The game is dealt from eight deck shoes, but
the penetration was pretty good.
Hask
