TJ, this is another "problem" that a credit line can help solve.
Several posters have suggested various alternatives, all of which are
time-consuming and complicated when compared to the simple act of
opening a credit line. Then, when you arrive at the casino, you
simply go to the cage, sign a marker for your desired withdrawal, and
head for the games with your pocket full. You could also write a
check, but I suggest that you not do so for two reasons.
First, the casino has just extended an interest-free loan to you.
And, though the rules do vary from place to place, you'll generally
have up to a month to re-pay it. Not only is this extraordinarily
convenient, but it costs you nothing. All other methods cost,
especially ATM and check advance methods.
Second (and on to your "problem"), when you have taken a marker, you
always have, right on premises, a place to put that excess cash.
Years ago, I started using 3K lines at several places. I now have
much larger lines at several places, one of them LVH. Not too long
ago, I took a marker there for 4K and then hit a $ RF during my first
session. The policy there is to pay off in cash unless the jackpot
exceeds 5K. No problem for me. When that session ended, I walked
back to the cage and paid off my initial marker. That's a nice bonus
feature of having a credit line.

Another interesting issue is how to get the cash home if you have a
good trip composed of several smaller wins. On one recent trip my
wife and I were ahead about $4000 by the end of the week. We didn't
have a single large win that we could have asked for in a check, it
was several good days in a row. I didn't want to carry over $5000
through three airports, so we set out to find a bank. We tried
several banks in an attempt to get a cashier's check but not of them
would issue one unless you were a customer. I suppose now we could
have gone to Western Union, but we ended up with the less-than-
satisfactory solution of buying eight $500 money orders at Von's.
