This is my first post to vpFREE boards (I have replied to a couple
before this). An excellent resource, I am grateful for your time.
My situation: Unable to go to VP Mecca for at least a year, but have
local casinos available here in dusty NM. An easy bet, the paytables
are horrible. The two best games (only two machines, different
casinos) are 99.1% DB, and a Bonus Deuces Wild game at 99.4% I round
down to the tenths on percentage to account for real (human error) play.
The casinos send me coupons and I have used a session bankroll opposed
to the coupon as a ratio to attempt long-term survival at short pay.
For instance, a $5 cashed-coupon stays in my pocket, while I risk $20
through the machine. Anything shorter-paying than the two games
mentioned above, I will risk $10 max. I may risk up to $40 on the
99.4% game. I discount the value of RF (rough, 2%), as a "reality
check". Total loss for Average Joe Session, per hand=2.6 or 2.9%. I
round it up to 3%
Calculations: $40*(.03) = $1.20, which is multiplied by the number of
times I run the $40 thru the machine. If I run it through more than 4
times, I will lose money during my exile from LV. If I don't, I
should make money while considering my "comp" status at the casinos
(.2% cashback at one, occasional free buffet/non-cash comp at the
other).
Please critique this method, considering volatility, math logic,
casino radar (ability to maintain coupon offers), etc.
