I think deuces wild games are the most counterintuitive. Ploppies LOVE aces. I can't tell you how many times I have sat next to a couple where the guy is giving his wife advice. "Hmm.. you have two aces. Dump that 2."
Funniest story- I used to play at the slow torture FPDW machines at Sam's Town (you know- click click click.. click click ). I was there when one of the regulars stood up and announced that "He held three deuces and an ace, and drew a deuce!" It was truly pitchforks and torches time.
I have a really smart relative, Harvard Law grad, whom I believed to understand the general principles of FPDW. I spent a lot of time coaching him, and then left him on his own. He later confessed that he saw aces repeatedly coming up, so he held one, and got three of a kind.
A system is born.
