I am assuming you mean that, while no points accrue for CB or comps
(when leaving a machine prior to the completion of the countdown)
that the player is still given credit for the coin-in (for possible
discretionary comps or offers) by the casino.

If I have misread this, please correct me.

Thanks,

Harrahs-L is my reference casino. Start a new day, pick a machine, stick in
your card and you get, Welcome Friend (Insert Name Here), you have XXX Tier
and YYY Reward Credits. On "today's date" your have earned 0 Base and 0 Bonus
credits. Then the countdown will reflect a new session with a full countdown.

Playing the nickel 50-plays the counts start at 1000 and reduce like pennies.
Other denominations in the casino might have a different reference, but it
is $!0/point.

I might start at $2.50/hand coin-in (10-play), so the countdown would cycle
1000-750-500-250-1000. I would earn 1 Base point reflected on the counter
every 4 hands.

Play for awhile say stop at 100 Base with the countdown at 500. Pull your
card to get the session over to the daily totals and to the overall totals. It
usually takes a couple of card reinsertions to get the daily total to register.

The scrolling Base total will be 100 and the Bonus still 0 (quite normal),
but the system knows I played that extra 1/2 Base point. Do the exact same
cycle end up with 100 Base counter and 500 on the countdown. Now the daily Base
should be 201. On these VP machines 200 Base is about the time the Bonus
credits start showing up.

So even if you move around alot or pull your card often your total coin-in
should be reflected in the Tier, Base and Reward Credit totals.

This is not universal. I think One Club players get screwed. Isn't Hard
Rock some wacky $$$/point and they lose out on partial points?

At the GN-L you get credit for all your play too. The partial countdown
follows you around the casino, which is the most consumer friendly way of doing
business. You also know you cb points and comp $ upon card insertion. You can
use your card as a debit card for comps. Why can't other casinos follow this
lead, including the downtown Golden Nugget.
