This is exactly the casinos rationale. They DON'T want you changing
machines frequently as it drastically reduces your coin-in and
playing time. Therefore, they "punish you" by witholding points, if
you don't stay at a machine for a proscribed length of time.They also, quite accurately, IMO, believe that you'll continue to
play until you've scored your point, rather than quit in the middle
of a countdown. This is another casino ploy to try and drain your
bankroll. In their view, of course, it's just a good business
practice.No doubt if I had ownership equity in a casino, I would do the same
thing.

Check the FAQs on the HET website. Somewhere in there it says you don't lose
on the countdown for Base points. Of course it is still up in the air about
Bonus points.
This is HET. There might be a casino or two that suscribes to the Babe's
notion.
