All this RNG chat reminds me that some scientists contend that there is
a 20% chance that every second of human existence is governed by an
extremely complex computer program --- developed and run, I suppose, by
celestial programmers with access to a really big hard drive, a dark
twisted sense of humor rarely found in earthly IT departments, and, of
course, an RNG of incomprehensible depth, breadth and density.
(Imagine, for instance, the substrata of the theistic equation that
produced the Popiel Pocket Fisherman).
If humans are indeed merely living breathing data elements -- bits and
bytes formed from flesh and blood (and cellulite and nose hair) -- a
fascination with the laughably primitive VP RNG should not surprise
anyone. It's really a subconscious need to understand the cosmic RNG
that controls all aspects of human destiny.
On the other hand, there's at least an 80% chance that this entire post
has no value or relevance.
