Hello group, thank you for your help.
I use WinPoker6, by Zamzone, for my tutorial. I find the program
very complete and accurate.I am having a lot of difficulty deciding what two high cards
(TJQKA, of the same suit) to hold. The tutorial seems to give
different answers with different hands.First situation, with NO deuces: I know that you never hold
the Ace. But the program is giving mixed advice about holding the
same suited pairs of the other high cards (TJQK). Is there a simple
"rule of thumb"?Second situation, with ONE deuce: Again the tutorial is giving
mixed advice. Sometimes you keep the same suited ACE and sometime you
do not.What is up?

It sure sounds like you are discovering "flush interferance" for the first
time. You are tossing other suited cards away that might make flushes if they
were still in the deck. This is enough to change the ranking of what to hold
for a max ER strategy.
Be careful that you are practicing the right paytable for the games you play
in a casino. Deuces Wild versions will change based on the paytable for this
particular decision, and other (like SFs) sitiuations.
You can read about interferance (flush, straight, power of the pack) in
general on the resources available through the vpFREE homepage. The old Bob Dancer
Casinogaming.com articles can be a good source.
