There are a few "top" Hold'em players-- real hi rollers-- who lurk on this
list and play a lot of
VP (or have played a lot).
Anyone know which top player (or players?) has his picture up on the vpfree
site? Hint: It's
not Chris-- though they are friends.. ...and well, I couldn't resist
dropping some other hints
in this email (LOL). If you know, well, you might as well keep it to
yourself I guess, since that
person (or persons) seems to want to be relatively anonymous. Sned me a
personal email if
you think you know the answer(s)...

I don't understand who this is from. Did the digest spitter outer send this
on it's own like a vpFREE HAL the computer would? I read most of the poker
magazines so see pictures of the top players monthly. I even subscribe by snail
mail to Card Player which has a large gallery of just photos. I don't
understand vpfree_digests aka "HAL the computer" saying the person or persons wants
to be relatively anonymous [congrats on correctly spelling "anonymous" you
must me in a detox program and I hope with not too many previous attempts.
But... can you spell anonymity or even say it?"] I won't even look on the vpFREE
photos page for fear of seeing Mike Matusow instead of Clonie Gowan, she's
hot.

I imagine there are quite a few video poker to hold'em members on this list
and a few mid level pro hold'em players who overcame their fear of learning
new things by taking up video poker to enhance quick access to free meals and a
little profit on the side. I struck up a convo with a pro holdem player once
at a local video poker play and found out he knocked Ted Forrest out of a
tourney. But "top player or players"? Not from the very top recognizable all
over the world top, sorry, I won't even look at the photos. Ok, I'll look.
You, who ever you are, you say he knows "Jesus"?

LOL. I love it. Yup, the mystery pro knows Chris, and some (but certainly not all) of my
mispellings were hints to help with finding his/her identity(ies), as was the use of the term
"relatively anonymous". So, a few pro's I know of played VP BEFORE playing big-time (TV-
style) Hold'em. They used VP to "pay the bills" (so to speak) when staying at a nice casino.
You see, poker room comps are pretty pathetic. As is my ability to spell, to type, and to
say certain words a loud (don't worry-- I've long since got over both my speaking
impediment and worrying about folks like you making fun of me).
