Comps at the Venetian

I am going to Las Vegas in October on business, and would like to surprise my wife with a suite at the Venetian for our anniversary next spring.
     How generous is the Venetian with comp's. How long do I have to play their dollar Jack's machines to get an offer in the mail? I can play some when the meeting's let out.

Earlier this year I gave the Venetian enough play to get to "Gold"
status in the players' club (2,000 points or $100K VP coin-in), and
have been getting invitations to slot and VP tourneys with free nights
included since then. We've even been able to use a couple of them,
including a VP tournament this holiday weekend.

I don't know what it would take to be able to pick up the phone and
get full RFB any day you want -- more than I'm playing I would think.
They're going to have another 3,000 rooms to fill in a few months when
the Palazzo opens, so casino marketing might be a little more generous
these days than would otherwise be the case.

In Dec. 2006 I exchanged my Diamond card for a Gold card at Venetian.
I only put 200 pts ($10K coin-in) on my card -- playing 8/5 BP.
Within 2 weeks I started receiving offers for free rooms and freeplay.

We have stayed there 3 times in 2007 and find them to be very generous
with rooms, freeplay, and comps. I average about $25-30K/day on each
trip.
