Comp(rating) question for NYNY

Does anyone know if it matters if I play say ~10K coin in over a few
hours in one day OR ~10K over several days?

The reason I ask is that I want to stay at NYNY for a few nights, but
plan to move my play around to a few places and not all at NYNY.

thanks.

As a general rule of thumb, you are better off concentrating your play. 5k for each of 2 days says you are a 5k player, 10k on 1 day says you are a 10k player.
If, however, you are looking to get comped on this trip they will look at your trip average which would be the same either way. I'd still go with the concentrating your play
at NYNY and then doing the same at the other places that you play at.

I agree with A.P.

But I think you might have other problems. NYNY is giving
discretionary comps of approximately .75% of coin-in. They value
the room at $100 per night generally. Thus a comped room kicks in
at $12,500 coin-in.

Your potential play of $10,000 I do not think will get the room
comped for one night unless it happens to be a slow period. With an
average coin-in of $5000, you might get casino rate.

I would concentrate my play at one casino. Would only play at
another casino for potential future offers and would limit that to
one more casino and no more than two

I cant comment on NYNY specifically, but recently I played at
Hollywood in Tunica and did about 25-30k CI in about 2 or so hours and
when I talked to a VIP boothling, she commented that I 'only played
about 2 hours' and that my total action was not that important. So at
least at some casinos the time spent playing is a factor. That was
about 2 months ago and the only offer I have received from them is 2
free room nights, which is totally useless.
