It doesn't make any difference for "earned" cash back and comps, which
are related to points on a fixed ratio basis.
You might get more mileage on one or the other (depending on the
casino) on discretionary comps and bounce back cash, where time played
and many other factors are sometimes considered. Suncoast (and Venetian
also, I believe), for example, look at time played per day and will give
you more discretionary comp credit for four hours of quarter play than
for one hour of dollar play.
