Are comp terms defined anywhere on VPfree? I did not find them.
Specifically, I was looking for the definitions of Earned Comps,
Discretionary Comps, and Marketing Comps. I understand Earned Comps
(based on the amount wagered) but not sure how the other two are
usually granted, especially Discretionary Comps (since VP is not a
table game).
Comp Definitions?
I believe this is right as follows: We receive marketing comps when mailers come in the mail incenting us to come play, ie. to pay for our gas ect... Comps we have not directly earned. We receive discretionary comps from a casino host when we tell them we are hungry and would like a steak dinner. They check our play for that evening and award the comp from their own discretionary comp account. These comps never come from our earned comp points.
