I particularly remember this experience at LV Hilton when I used to play there. I only play JoB (will learn the others someday, maybe), and there were two banks of playable machines of which I was aware. There were three slant-top 10-play $0.25 in a bank (surrounded by 50-play $0.25 with short-pay, remarkably, at least to me), and the lights overhead caused the screen to glare a LOT, and then there was a bank of $1 3-play uprights, with stools at a height where the buttons were above shoulder-level for me, meaning that after a little while, even switching from left to right and back, my arms ached and got pretty tired. Sometimes I'd stand up at those to compensate.

At the quarter machines just described, the adjacent slots were also VERY noisy - I can handle the distraction, but it still is both irritating and uncomfortable - esp. since this was their "come-on" noise, not even associated with anyone playing the machines.

Needless to say, WHEN there is a reasonable alternative, comfort can become a deciding factor. I don't know why I never said anything to any of the supervisors; that certainly seems like information they'd like to have, so they can make their facility as inviting to customers as possible.

Interestingly, the machines in the Star Trek lounge seemed much more comfortable - and I know those were the games that many on this list preferred -- but I didn't / don't know the strategies.

When I was going at that time, I didn't have time to learn new strategies. Now that I'm retired, I expected to have more time, but it's not working out that way
