affected. Even though their game inventory is poor, 2.5% makes some of
them pretty good. They do have a bank of $1 9/6 JOB. Since King
Soopers is one of the merchants, one can gamble to put food on the

This is a prime example of a great play that got killed. It probably
wasn't a result of this particular posting, but you never know.
Word has it that 3 pros from Vegas came to this Harveys location and
pounded it hard. I heard a first-hand account from someone in line at
the slot club behind one of these pros who was picking up his 110
giftcards ($1100) for his play that day. Earlier this individual was
tying up 3 machines at one time (thus my friend could not get on the
bank at that time). Apparently they were pounding it daily from the
start.
Anyway, the promo was advertised to run 3 weeks through Dec 20. But
half way into it they decided to cancel the 3rd week and end the promo
early, presumably because they were taking a beating on it.
Posting plays like this is always tricky. On one hand, we like to
help each other, and postings like this helped many of us get to where
we are now. On the other hand, in the interest of self-preservation,
it's unwise to post info on the really good plays. If too many people
find out, the play dies and it kills it for everyone.
It illustrates a 3rd component of successful video poker play. The
first two are learning how to recognize good paytables, and how to
play them with correct strategy. The 3rd component is finding and
preserving such opportunities. If the opportunities don't exist, the
1st and 2nd components do us no good. Finding unusually good plays is
valuable information. Broadcasting it may kill that value.
Personally, I've settled on a balance where I'll post on general VP
matters, but not specific good plays. Especially if it's a limited
play, or in a smaller juristiction, or some other circumstance where
just a handful of additional players could make the difference between
it continuing or getting killed.
