Colorado Belle is still taking points from accounts when customers
get a discount for food. For example, on Tuesdays there is a $9
discount at Mark Twains for slot club members. When they swipe your
card to give you the discount, they turn around and take $9 worth of
points -- 4500 points -- from your player's account. (They do NOT
remove the discount from your comp account -- but from your free-
play/cash-back points). If you go to the slot club, they put your
points back (BUT I BET THE VAST MAJORITY OF PEOPLE NEVER DOUBLE CHECK
THEIR POINTS AFTER GETTING A DISCOUNT).
This was previously reported as going on with the $5 discounts
offered at the buffet (2500 points were zapped). I haven't eaten in
the buffet since early December -- it was still going on then.
I don't know if they ever stopped doing this and just restarted again
or if this has being going on continuously. (There was a rumor back
in December that a couple from Vegas had complained to the Gaming
Comm., but if that was true, it sure didn't solve the problem!).
ANYWAY, IF YOU GET A "ACCESS CARD" (Slot Card) DISCOUNT IN ANY
COLORADO BELLE FOOD LOCATION, MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR POINTS BEFORE
AND AFTER EATING. If you do get docked points, go to the slot club
to get them replaced.
