Colorado Belle FPDW

Hello.

I made my first "visit" to the Laughlin river walk last week. It was just a very quick walkthrough and I have a question. Going through the Colorado Belle, toward the northern end of the casino, I noticed a bank of some 10-12 VP machines (back to back) that touted 4 different "greater than 100%" return games, FPDW among them.

Although there were people playing many of the other machines, these machines seemed to be totally unused. I had no time to investigate why and am just wondering if anyone here could tell me why they might have sat unused. Do they play slowly? Do they not accumulate "slot points"? Are they not eligible for comp's? Or, might there be some other reason.

Thanks.

Just like at the Edgewater the counter on the 100% machines starts at
30,000 so you virtually don't get many slot points. Also if you switch
machines, the counter restarts at 30,000. However, they still send good
mail offers for free rooms, events, and free play.

This area, unless one is playing in the wee small hours, is very noisy. Furthermore, the machines on the west side have the ceiling lights reflecting off your screen. Add to this the miniscule accumulation rate of points and you'll understand why they are not well patronized. These machines were much nicer to play when they were near the boiler room or central east part of the casino.
