I agree with your logic, Dick. Not many casinos use "coin-out"
instead of "coin-in" any more.
The El Cortez is the casino with which I'm the most familiar, that
previously used the c/o method of tracking. When they first
initiated their card club, they used this system.
I always thought that it was both unfair and rather naive' to only
reward those who won. I felt that way even though the EC was
my "lucky" place and I won quite a bit there.
With this system you MUST leave your card in place while you cash
out, or you get no credit for the win. Jackpot hands, such as
RF/Deuces/Aces w kicker, have a set amount of points awarded, which
is based on the amount of the win (or Coin-out).
I discussed this with the head VP suit several times, and was
always told it would never change. Fortunately, they saw the light
and changed to coin-in accounting a few years ago.
