coin counting machines

Paul Reeves stated that if coin counting machines consistently undercounted by 1%, that would wipe out the advantage of FPDW. That's not true unless you cash out each time you play $100 through and then send all your coins through the coin counting machines.

Most of the time, the amount of coins you cash in is a fraction of your total action. If I put in $100, play single line quarters for 2 hours and cash out $100 in coins, the 1% loss on the coin is only 5% - 10% of my coin in. I still wouldn't be happy being consistently undercounted , but it's nowhere near 1% of my play.

I still wouldn't be happy being consistently undercounted ...

I found this thread interesting since I've never once noted the
amount I was returned not matching exactly what I expected.

I have found that the machines are usally right and if off a quarter the change person will usally pay it

You never went to Atlantic City. The machine's there short-change people all the time. I'm actually surprised when I get to the cashout booth and the amount they give me is what I cashed out.
