Coin Casinos Left? Sep15,2004

<<<<Just wondering,
Are there any casinos left in Las Vegas or other areas that still
have coin (non-ticket) slot machines?>>>>>>>

Bourbon Street Casino on Flamingo Road is using it as an advertising
tool. A sign out front proudly proclaims no paper cashouts --- real
coins. I say they should keep there ancient short pay machine inventory
and extend their marketing to warn of the hazard of paper cuts. It's
hard to believe they stay open with such prime real estate and an always
empty casino.

I say the same thing about the adult theater on Market St., just a
couple of blocks from my home.

The guy's clearly waiting for the next economic boon to continue the
march of monolithic office towers that stopped 2 blocks short in the 90's.

Then again, I think the occasional rain coater still finds the place.
