There is an unusual new promotion advertised on the back cover. Insert your Club Coast or B Connected card at the pump and save 2c per gallon at participating Rebel gas stations in the Las Vegas area through 12/31/09. Limit of 15 gallons per transaction.
I'll be going out to Las Vegas on 10/10/09 from MA.
1) I'm interested in the Coast Connection Insert MPs. Could you tell me which MPs are included this month and how often they can be used (e.g. once only until the end of October; or one per day, etc.). That way I'll know whether it would be worth heading over to LVRJ on Bonanza and purchasing a few back issue inserts (or not) while I'm there.
2) I don't know about anyone else, but I know that saving 30c when I fill up my car at a cost of close to $40 is not going influence where I buy my gasoline. Maybe a nickel or dime per gallon but 2c per gallon: that's a pretty pathetic/stupid/insulting promotion (if you really think about it). Is there more to this than just the 2c per gallon savings?

Let's see. I drive 12,000 miles per year, and my car gets 20 mpg.
That means I need to buy 600 gallons of gas. If I always fill up at a
participating Rebel gas station, and I always remember to bring my
players club card, I can save $12! In just a year!

But from that $12 should be deducted costs, at least those of going
out of one's way to get to the Rebel stations and of bypassing lower
prices at other stations. Once those are taken into account, I really
don't think it's a very exciting offer.
