Coast changes

<<<First - Coast casinos are issuing new, blue cards - you'll need to
replace
your old ones. Does anyone know why?>>>

The new card readers that will be at South Coast will be bigger with more
animated displays like at Stations and apparently require the new cards.
The new readers have already been installed at Suncoast. The apparent
plus I have noticed so far is that point totals appear to be instant on
the new readers and you don't have to wait for a computer download of
points from your home casino. Again this appears similar to Stations'
system.

And the new Suncoast card readers do show the double points when they
have 2X days, but only when you go to the next machine. In the old
days (in August LOL), they would say that the extra points "would show
up" tomorrow.

On the other hand, the meters still do not show a running tally of
points you are earning on the machine. All that technology and they
still can't show something as simple as session points.

And as I mentioned a few dyas ago, when the techs operated on the
machines, they failed to properly re-connect the sound on many
machines. Thank goodness they are not doctors; you go in for a
toothache and they end up taking out your vocal chords.
