CO Trip report, found .05 QQ

Went up for Thursday night. Stayed at FV for $30 on coupon. Had never
played there much, didn't really have any luck before. Did enjoy the
offerings this time.
They have STP and Wheel Poker in .05+
The triple plays near the buffet were paying.
We ate at the Centruy for $6 prime, it was ok, hubby had fish which was
good.
The brightest spot of the trip for me was a .05 + quick quad @ the
Mardi Gras, tech said they had only been there a couple of weeks. I
hit aces and a few scattered quick quads, hubby had a poor quik session.
so he baled on me. Pizza from the snack bar was ok, but over priced.

Friday a.m. the breakfast burrito at FV was pretty good. The biscuts
and gravy were same as Arby's.
The room at FV was Super 8, at best. Shower was good, bed was bad.
We played all over town on Friday. Hit aces on .25 ddb at Ameristar
where I never usually hit anything. Hubby hit Aces at Lodge.
Around town, STP ddb's were mainly 9/5 down to 7/5.
Not much to brag about on the paytable front.
The new Ameristar tower is impressive bordering on intimidating
depending on where in town you are.
Please e-mail me at rendav@earthlink.net if you have any questions.
Thanks

This was my first visit & I tried to collect info in advance, but found
very little. I was not prepared for the number of casinos in Black
Hawk. I can see why the data base doesn't even mention most of them.
It would be a full time job to monitor them.

We played a few hours at Ameristar on their 25c JOB STP and made only
$100 in spite of a RF. We earned 4,000 points and had a comped dinner
buffet which seemed to not come off of our points. It was excellent.
Shrimp, crab, 3 kinds of ribs, including lamb. Amazing quality salad
fixings. Desert had all my favorites: chocolate covered strawberries,
peanut brittle, and carmeled apples.

Could we pump up the interest in this forum by also talking about
poker? I didn't see any tourist newspapers that told about
tournaments, bad beat jackpots, etc.

Becky I couldn't agree with you more that the CO. VP scene is a bit
dull. I found the best machines at Fortune Valley with $1 JOB and
triple points on Fridays, a few hours play generated room and meal
comp offers. It's going to be interesting how the High limit changes
in July will change things.
