Clump hunting

On PBS tonight, on the NewsHour, there was a segment about the recent
discovery of new birds and mammals in a mountain range in New Guinea.

My question for the rest of you, and I don't want any mathematical
responses, is, where are these "clumps" found? I have gotten pairs of
royals, but never clumps of them.

Not that I'm looking for clumps. A few troikas, or triads, will do.

First, I think Curtis should be given credit for defining a new VP
term ... the clump. I have a few theories on how to track and locate a
gaggle of clumps, but I'm sure not going to let the pros find out.

Dear vpFREE Administrator,
Can you please put 'clump' in the vpFREE Glossary? Thanks.

Credit to Curtis, by all means, but don't you think that we should
liken aggregations of royals and other VP combinations not to geese
but to larks, and call them "exaltations" instead of "gaggles"?

I may have just had a clump, depending on the precise definition.
Anyway, in the last four days, playing only 1000-1500 hands during that
spell, I've had 5 quad deuces. Does that qualify as a clump? I was
playing DDB.

Exceptional, Roger ... I love it

Is such thing as a 'Negative Clump'? Last Friday playing FPDW at

Palace Station, I hit 5 sets of natural Aces, 3 sets of natural Threes
and 2 ntural Straight Flushes! Played about 6000 hands and lost 450$.
Needless to say no Deuces or Natural Royals. I guess the Double Bonus
gods punished me for being disloyal!

Reminds me of a session I had on the Optimums at Fiesta. Playing FPDW I
must have had 10 quads in a 5 minute period, dealt, on the draw, etc.,
naturally no ducks, so I switch over to DB for another 5 minutes and
the quads disappear. Switch back to FPDW and hit quad fours on the
second hand.

I would just as soon have thrown that machine in the clumpster.

I'm having a reverse clump. 2 royals in eight cycles.

I've had a few hours to think about this further. I don't think this
is a clump. It's a cluster.
